Swansea Ladies Hockey Club
Established in the 1920‘s, Swansea LHC is one of the oldest women’s hockey clubs in Wales.

A well established ‘social hockey’ playing club adapted well to the arrival of more competitive play and the introduction of Cup and League competitions.  Swansea LHC can boast the National League title of Wales every year since its inception and the Welsh Cup has the name of Swansea inscribed many times upon it.

As Cup and Clubs Champion the Club has represented Wales at European indoor and outdoor competition on many occasions. The Club has won the European Clubs Championship ‘B’ and ‘C’ division titles and several Silver and Bronze medals.

In season 2004-05 England Hockey invited the Champion Club of Wales to play in the English Hockey League.  As the Champion Club Swansea LHC accepted the offer and became the first Welsh women’s team to play in the EHL.  Having survived the challenges and demands of playing at this higher level Swansea now faces a further year in the EHL.
